That unstoppable urge to spread the word of American specialty spirits has its roots in our indomitable midwestern heritage. For it was here during the height of Industry that we cultivated your grains, your corn, manufactured your nails, your watches and clocks, mined your coal, and brewed your beer.

The Illinois River runs though it, and on it the churning Caroline steamer moved furs, ore and lumber. Our great trains rumbled out across the nation spreading the fruits of our working men and women. A union of workers, ingenuity and industry – the Midwestern cog in the great American machine.

But, as the world expanded, our towns contracted. We witnessed dollars and people flowing…away. The thing is, we never left. We stuck together. Out of this post-industrial chasm, Star Union Spirits was born – coal in the fire of an American, post-industrial renaissance. In 2016, we’re flowing back to Peru, Illinois, firing up the still and turning the lights back on at the historic Westclox factory –proud former home to thousands of American clock makers from 1885 to 1980.

As an engine of entrepreneurship and distilling innovation, Star Union will champion old world spirits such as Brandies and Grappas with a New American sensibility. We’ll also tip our cup as a standard bearer artisanal Whiskies & Vodkas. So sit back and…
